With access to capital getting more expensive in an environment of rising interest rates, convertible bonds have become attractive for companies with weak creditworthiness

Convertibility from bond into equity for a preset number of shares at an agreed price target may - or may not - be achieved

Similarly to a call option, the convertible bond will rise in value along with an increasing equity share price - or trade like a standard bond if the equity price falls

Performance of the convertible bonds, ranked by risk quintile relative to the entire fixed income ETF data base, reflect investment strategies favoring preferred convertibles

For deeper insights, rank the fund selection by performance or by volatility for the selected time period

For recently listed ETFs, limited price data sets will not allow reliable performance / volatility arbitrage

Over time, fund price momentum signals trends of the last 5 days against a 20-day average

For comparison, select various time frames in the top right menu box, from 2 weeks to a full year (performance of some very recently listed ETFs may not be significant for lack of price data)
