The listing of China - Large Cap - $20 bn to $100 bn, listed on U.S. markets is the companion theme of the "Very Large Caps > $100 bn, listed on U.S. markets"

Of the approx. 50 companies in the $20 bn to $100 bn range, the selection of stocks listed on NASDAQ, or NYSE or trades over-the-counter (OTC) is concentrated on actively traded names

Political rules, formal or informal, may explain some striking absences, such as of $77 bn robotics and automation specialist Midea (000333.SZ) or $56 bn semiconductor manuufacturer SMIC (0981.HK), $160 bn global battery manufacturer CATL (300750.SZ) or $37 bn video giant Hikvision (002415.SZ)

Limited interest of American investors for financial institutions is a factor in the absence of OTC offering of numerous regional banks and poor trading record of the banks accessible to American investors, even for giants market caps such as

  •  Postal Savings Bank of China  $70 bn
  • Bank of Communications $67 bn
  • China CITIC Bank $47 bn
  • CITIC Ltd  $33 bn
  • CITIC Securities $53 bn

In the non-financial sectors, some very large firms are also ignored

  • China Tower  $25 bn
  • Nongfu Spring  $50 bn
  • WuXi AppTec  $22 bn
  • Kuaishou Technology $25  bn

Interest of the U.S. investors is very concentrated on Nasdaq-listed Baidu , Beigene , JD , Li Auto , NetEase and Trip.com , NYSE-listed KE

A few companies in U.S. supply chains such $76 bn Apple-supplier HonHai or $35 bn HaIer benefit from name recognition

But some of the top performers such as ZTE ($26 bn) or Great Wall Motor $25 bn) are hardly acknowledged - or ignored such as specialty mining giant Zijin  - $59 bn

Loosely traded on OTC markets, the shares performance will usually reflect the trend but not the actual performance on their home market, adjusted for currency shifts -  their track record  on OTC is strictly informative and might justify further research

With low trading volume on U.S. OTC markets  for the listed shares, performancevolatility and drawdown calculations will be affected - these ratios do not reflect true performance, volatility and drawdown as these same shares are normally traded on their national exchange

Our platform of asset information will include fundamental data information for companies listed on NYSE, but accounting data for the OTC (over-the-counter) quoted firms is not available

To highlight momentum and check trends, selected a short time frame - from two weeks to six months - on the menu (top right)
