The selection of Russian companies quoted in US dollars, on NYSE or NASDAQ in a few instances, and mainly available over-the-counter (OTC), had been included for informative purposes
LIstings have been suspended since the start of the war in Ukraine and the prices quoted since late Februari have no relevance
A number of Russian companies have applied to a governmental commission for permission to keep their listing abroad
- Norilsk Nickel had been granted this permission but did not follow through
- Steel producers NLMK and MMK, gas producer Novatek, firms Sistema, Magnit and En+ have applied for permission but the result of their applications has not yet been disclosed
- A request by gas giant Gazprom has been rejected and the company delisted its depositary receipts
The request for foreign listing would have insured that the companies continue to adhere to best corporate governance and disclosure practices
The following companies had not been included in our line-up because of limited over-the-counter (OTC) trading activity which will affect volatility and maximum drawdown computation, EVRAZ (EVRZF), Mosenergo (AOMOY), PAO TMK (TMKXY), Polyus (OPYGY), Rosneft Oil (OJSCY) and Rostelecom (ROSYY)
US listed ETFs, formerly listed for information as trackers awaiting future developments, have been closed
