Concentration movements in recent years have involved Nestle (a $12 billion purchase of Pfizer’s infant nutrition business in 2012), Lactalis (control of Italian Parmalat in 2012-2016), Mexico’s Grupo Lala Invalid tag asset (for U.S. assets from Laguna Dairy in 2016), Reckitt Benkiser (acquisition of US Mead Johnson in June 2017) and Saputo (acquisition subject to approval of Australian dairy co-operative Murray Goulburn in November 2017, following the acquisition of Warrnambool Cheese & Butter, also in Australia, in 2014)
